Is it worth learning onchain metrics as a beginner, or is that a rabbit hole? So I started buying earlier this year and I have mostly just been DCAing and ignoring the noise, which everyone here says is the right move. But I just watched a Milk Road interview with an onchain analyst (Matt Crosby) where he argues the bottom may already be in, based on indicators I'd never heard of. Realized losses, MVRV, that kind of thing. It was interesting but I came out of it realizing I have no way to judge whether any of it is actually meaningful or just charts that look convincing after the fact. So my question for people who've been around longer: is this stuff worth learning, or is it one of those things that feels like an edge but mostly just makes you want to time the market? Part of me thinks understanding what's happening on the network is genuinely useful. Part of me thinks I'd just start second guessing my buys.
