Bitcoin at $80K this month sounds crazy, but I’m not sure it’s that crazy anymore BTC breaking above $74K was obviously a big move, but I’m still trying to figure out how much of it was actual buying and how much was just shorts getting wiped out. Two thing here. The Trump comments about the U.S. potentially buying Bitcoin gave the market another reason to get bullish, and I saw MEXC make an interesting point about this on CMC: the move wasn’t just about the Trump headline. A big part of the acceleration came from shorts getting liquidated as BTC pushed higher. That can push price up very fast, but I don’t know if liquidations alone can keep it there.
