I wanted to turn a regular PC into an air-gapped Bitcoin signer, so I built SignerOS Hey r/Bitcoin, Iβve been working on an open-source side project called SignerOS for the last few months, and I thought Iβd share it here and get some feedback. The idea started with a pretty simple question: Can I turn a regular PC into a simple, dedicated Bitcoin signing device without having to build a hardware wallet? I wanted something that would boot from a USB stick, have no network connectivity at all, run only the software needed for creating wallets and signing PSBTs, and leave nothing behind when you shut it down. So thatβs basically what SignerOS is.
