My plan to take profits added up to 125 percent of my position Before a recent altcoin day trade, I wrote down two profit targets and a runner: sell 50 percent at the first intraday target, another 50 percent at the second, and keep 25 percent if momentum held into the end of the session. I wrote each line separately and never added them together. I caught the mistake when I opened BYDFi to enter the token quantities. The plan required 125 percent of my starting position. I had never defined the denominator. The first 50 percent referred to the original size. The second was supposed to mean half of what remained, but I had calculated it against the original size too.
