The one thing everyone swears is the safest way to hold. I've been running perpetual contracts for about eight months now and this whole event made me rethink the risk framing people use. Everyone says self custody is king but nobody accounts for the actual attack surface of managing your own keys across multiple devices. With perps you literally never touch the underlying asset. No seed phrase, no firmware updates to worry about, no physical device that can get compromised. I keep my collateral on MSX under portfolio margin so everything is cross-margined anyway, never needed to move coins to a separate wallet for safety.
