would you actually lend out xrp for yield or is 100% cold storage the only move for you? noticing more people digging into ways to make their stack do something instead of just letting it sit untouched for years. the pitch for lending is obvious enough. you're holding long term anyway, so why not squeeze some yield out of it. but the tradeoff is real, you're no longer in the same risk category as just holding your own keys in your own wallet, not even close honestly. this is where I think half this sub gets confused constantly. everything gets lumped under "staking" when it's really not the same thing at all. staking, you're generally tied to network security and validator rewards. lending, you're handing capital or liquidity to a market and now you're exposed to protocol risk, smart contract risk, whatever the platform's actual design looks like under the hood. two completely different risk buckets wearing the same word..
