multisig should be standard for cold storage Whats the point of even having cold storage if you have one point of failure, The only real alternative I can think of the prevent braindead gaps in hardware wallet security (cold card, ledger exporting your seed lmao) is passwords (which is usually added on the device anyway) Any significant amount of funds should be in multisig and its not as complicated as people make it seem. 3 private keys, doesnt matter how you store them as long as no 2 are accessible without a device password on one in a single location, put the multisig wallet file in cloud and or on your personal computer
