The KAST situation is why crypto cards need clearer custody terms The KAST drama is a good example of why im skeptical of some crypto card apps. From what people are saying, users deposited stablecoins expecting a normal card balance they could spend but the terms apparently treat those deposits more like a sale to KAST, where the user gets an internal USD balance instead of still owning the original stablecoins. Then on top of that, there was the rewards/airdrop mess, where people expected token upside and it got shifted into equity in a private company. Maybe KAST can explain it legally but from a user perspective it feels like two different trust issues at once: unclear custody of funds and rewards that can be redefined later.
