I lowkey regret how much time and money I dumped into alts over the years, wish I just bought BTC the whole time I went through the whole cycle of chasing whatever was pumping, jumping between different coins, buying tops, panic selling bottoms, the usual mess. Looking back, most of that money would've just sat there and grown if I'd left it in BTC instead of trying to be clever. Not hating on alts as a whole, just saying for me personally it was a lot of stress and effort for way worse results than just holding the boring asset. These days I've basically gone full BTC only, it feels a lot simpler. But now that I'm just sitting on BTC, the question becomes, what do you actually do with it besides just holding? And that's why I have been looking into lending. The idea of putting BTC to work without wrapping it into some synthetic version or handing it to a custodian actually makes sense to me now in a way lending never did back in my alt days, probably because the risk profile feels completely different when it's just BTC sitting there with spend conditions instead of some sketchy CeFi platform doing god knows what with your coins behind the scenes.
