Was I used to launder money, or is this just a scam? Hi everyone. Yesterday, I wrote a post about how a guy my friend met online had been sending her cryptocurrency over a long period, claiming it was a gift. Later, however, he started demanding the money back, insisting that he be repaid in cryptocurrency rather than through a bank transfer. Many people suggested this might be a money-laundering scheme, so she contacted customer support today, and we are waiting for a response to find out. On the other hand, some argued that the amounts involved were too small for money laundering. Opinions were divided.
