RIPPLE XRP: The Tax Bill That Changes Everything For XRP Holders? [Spoken audio]: Now, I need to show you something that hasn't been on a single major crypto YouTube channel. Congressman Max Miller and Congressman Stephen Horsford introduced something called the Digital Asset Parity Act in December of last year. And it does three specific things that changes the math for every long-term holder watching right now. I, along with my colleague to my left over here, Rev Horsford have introduced the Digital Asset Parity Act to finally provide the common sense tax certainty our businesses and investors truly require throughout our country. First, it directs the Treasury to study a de minimis exemption, which is just a fancy way of saying you stop tracking every coffee purchase and every micro payment as a separate taxable event. Second, it extends section 1058 like treatment to digital asset lending, which basically means lending out your XRP is no longer treated as a taxable sale by the IRS. And third, it lets validators and miners elect to defer staking and in mining income for up to five years, which kills the phantom income problem that has been quietly crushing yield-focused holders for years that are worried about tax problems. So that's not a tweak to the tax code. That's a structural reset for every single person holding crypto for a long-term position.
