KAST treating stablecoin deposits as a sale feels insane to me I started using KAST because I wanted an easier way to spend stablecoins without constantly moving money through an exchange or bank But after the ether fi CEO called them out, I looked more into the terms and now I’m not sure I’m comfortable with it. From what people are saying when you deposit stablecoins into KAST, it’s legally treated more like a sale to KAST. You don’t still own the original stablecoins you just get a USD balance on their internal ledger. That feels very different from how most users probably understand it and Im not saying they’re going to disappear tomorrow but if the company ever had serious issues, would users just become unsecured creditors instead of owners of the assets they deposited?

There more you know @piriya of @RightShift_to masterfully explains the bitwise right shift operation in Bitcoin's code and why he named his company after it. [Spoken audio]: The name is actually in the Bitcoin code. It's taken from the halving equation. So if you look at the Bitcoin code, you'd see how they calculate the block subsidies. And the way they do it is they use a bitwise operation called right shift that shifts the binary number for the total amount of block subsidies that can be mined per each block to the right. And each time it's shifted to the right, then the amount would go down by half, right? So that's what we call having. I just think it's such a beautiful way of implementing such a powerful rule because there are a lot of questions. Bitcoin halves every year. How can I know? How can you know that? It's not going to keep halving because there are infinite decimals, right? So they solve that by not using any floating points. It's just bits and binary of integers that are being shifted to the right. So it's not really being divided by two, but it's being right-shift. And I just think that that kind of speaks to the simplicity and elegance of design that Satoshi consciously shoes for Bitcoin. That's also represented in the logo itself. So the logo is Bitcoiners would recognize this, but it's the supply schedule of Bitcoin, the rules that have been stoned on the first day. It's more like a celebration of the beauty of Bitcoin.
