[ @blknoiz06 pointed to two reasons memes exploded] "Last cycle was the proof of concept." "That's when memes proved they could reach tens of billions." "SOL made onchain trading accessible to retail." First came market memory. Once DOGE and SHIB reached massive valuations, [Spoken audio]: Yeah, so I'd say it's two main things or the reason they've done so well this cycle I think the first one is whenever you see a new trend in crypto You kind of have the first iteration of it, which is like the proof of concept And then once that's like proven out you have the second iteration. That's when stuff really starts to pop off And you saw it kind of with DeFi. I think early days You've seen it with a lot of different other sectors in crypto But I would say last cycle was kind of like the POC for memes going really well. Like, Doge went to $80 billion, Shib went to $40 billion. There was a ton of other Doge like clones that did really well. And so people saw that last cycle and already in their head they had that like memory map of meme coins going well. And that was because Elon was pushing those super hard. And a ton of other people were just talking about memes. But since they saw that last cycle, this cycle, people already had that in their head old memes can go that high. So it's like not really that difficult for people to take the same trades and have the same mindset. And then I would say the second reason this cycle specifically that they've done well is Solana has enabled retail to trade with very little amounts of money. And the UX for people trading on chain is like a lot better than it was last cycle. With Ethereum, before like Rollers were very popular, a lot of the activity was on each mainnet, and fees would spike crazy whenever on-chain activity started to pop off. But with Salon, it's like they don't have that issue because of how they handle transactions and how the chains design. It's like much lower fees, and they can process a lot more transactions like for a second.

Who here has been in crypto since before 2020? Check in.

@AnthonyLoera_

Have you added DigiByte and DigiDollar? Because nobody can see what coins you process unless you add crypto to your online wallet, and that just feels fraudy... so do yourself a favor, be open about what crypto this on-ramps and off-ramps... because right now, not knowing, is
