@Blockstream

Today, the best quantum hardware can just about factor 21 (3 x 7). @blksresearch hired @kudinov_mikhail , one of the cryptographers behind NIST's post-quantum signature standard, and we have already proposed OP_CHECKSHRINCS, an optimized hash-based signature opcode for Bitcoin. [Spoken audio]: Boxdream research hired Mikhail Kudlov who was one of the researchers working on the NIST standards. So NIST National Institute of Standards Technology in the US publishes cryptography standards and so they published their first post-quantum signature standard in November 2024 so it's quite recent and in fact the proposed signature scheme for Becquine, the Boxdream research portfolio is an optimized version of that standard. In fact we've been working on that for a while now going back into last year. The technologists are always looking on planning for the future, improving security, planning for the things that might need to migrate. But there is no current hardware that can do even simple calculations like factorize 21 I think is about where the limit is. So literally the 21 is 3 times 7. That's kind of where the current hardware can get. But it's complicated to compare the hardware.
