So I think it's anything that's non-monetary, but any non-monetary transaction is spam you personally and selfishly What is the difference between someone making an ad and someone sending money from Alice to Bob? How does this affect you personally differently in the Bitcoin network? I'm running a node. So it uses more resources if the spam gets through an ad is almost by definition spam You don't want to see an ad in your inbox. I don't read the upper turns on every transaction That is not a thing Bitcoin facilitates other apps around Bitcoin facilitate. I'm not reading those I'm not getting that. I don't read every spam email It does sort of fill up my my inbox, right? Like how does it increase the resources of your node? so I have to validate those transactions keep it in your mempool and so on if you receive them those are actual costs to my hardware depending on how robust my hardware might be and if it does if it does make it into a block then that's that's also hard hard drive storage uh that's downloading it again if I if I didn't see it before those costs uh and that's stuff that I would rather not have from your personal selfish perspective and your node the difference between something facilitating a lightning closure or someone else, Alice and Bob, making a payment. I think that the difference is mostly feels. Now, you might say feels or you can say principle. That would assume sort of like a utilitarian morality from me, right? If I, in principle, don't want the Bitcoin network to get more non-monetary, then restricting those is something that's in my interest from a moral and principle perspective and not feels right sticking to my principles is actually worthwhile like I don't have to enable spam and let's have a minimum amount on outputs so that we don't enable this kind of very abusive usage of of bitcoin um I I agree with that right like I I think that's something that every node runner should do is is discriminate and and stand on principle
