The corporate crypto race may be entering a new phase. Strategy has paused, bitcoin purchases while building a multi billion dollar cash reserve, as BitMine moves closer to controlling 5% of Ethereum‘s circulating supply. This is not prove institutions are abandoning bitcoin. [Spoken audio]: The world's biggest corporate Bitcoin holder just stopped buying while another public company has now closing in on 5% of all Ethereum strategy. The company known as MicroStrategy has now gone weeks without buying more Bitcoin. Instead, it's been raising cash and building a multi-billion dollar reserve. This does not necessarily mean that Michael Saylor has lost confidence in Bitcoin. Company still holds hundreds of thousands of Bitcoin, but it does suggest that strategy is becoming more defensive as it prepares for prolonged market volatility. Meanwhile, something completely different is happening with Ethereum. It might now reportedly control approximately 5.77 million Ethereum, roughly 4.8% of the entire supply. Unlike Bitcoin sitting inside of a corporate treasury, Ethereum can be staked and generated into additional revenue. Corporate crypto race may be evolving. The coin remains the ultimate scarce reserve asset. Ethereum gives companies exposure to tokenization, stable coins, decentralized finance, and staking income. Doesn't mean that institutions are banning Bitcoin for Ethereum, But when the biggest Bitcoin treasury pauses its purchases, well another company moves closer to controlling 5% of Ethereum? You have to ask yourself, are we watching the institutional crypto narrative shift or are institutions just accumulating everything they can before the market turns around?
