AI is reshaping financial infrastructure—and XDC is building for what’s next. In this conversation, @XDCNetwork Co-Founder @atulkhekade joins XDC Ecosystem Manager, Leigha to discuss the XDC AI Marketplace, emerging AI tools, the evolution of payments, and XDC’s long-term vision [Spoken audio]: For our viewers who don't already know, can you introduce yourself and what you've built? Sure. Hi, I'm Atul Khikr. I'm the co-founder of Existing Network. We are an infrastructure for finance payments, civil coins, anything cutting-edge that you want to move across the world. We are into our tensium now and we have just opened this wonderful office here in New York that you are welcome to visit. And, you know, of all the new cases that we support, I think AI has become really big for us going forward that we are very excited to serve with our agent in the marketplace and framework. Amazing. Can you tell us a little bit more about how agentic payments are going to be introduced on XDC network? Yes. So today, I think ever since last three years, when AI was introduced, various tools like Grook or Anthropic or OpenAI, people are asking it to draft an MOU or what is the better place for this. Instead of Googling, people are using that. However, the actual action points don't exist on the AI right now, right? So when you want to know that what is a good coffee shop around or what is the best flight that I can take to London or something, it can recommend you something, but it's not able to do action. And the traditional banking framework is so slow for the AI to operate and work with, it doesn't have the required compliance layers that can work at that scale. And this is where I think the whole blockchain infrastructure that we've had this in place in the last 10 years came in the picture because it acts as a perfect layer on top of these AI platforms where you're not just asking it for giving you recommendation for a best coffee, but you can actually make it order in a coffee field. You can make it book plates for you. You can hire lawyers. You can do anything you need to actually take an action and make a settlement. And this is what I think is pretty transforming in a way that is going to increase the usage of AI and monetization of AI 100 times with platforms like XDC Network. Thank you. So as everyone knows, the XDC Network is famous for being institutionally aligned. How do you see agentic payments affecting institutional properties. Yes, so when we started our focus was very institutional, trade finance focus. So what we did was we started working with institutional validators. So whether we have Deutsche Telecom, you have SBIR holding in Japan, now you have ClearStream here in this part of the world, they all become institutional validators. That means they process the transactions on existing network with their own nodes 24-7, right? As the interface from the general public has changed and come towards the AI side, people are not going to websites anymore to find recommendations or find products. They're actually asking AI, right? So the same institutional customers, the big businesses, which are serving consumers their entire behavior actually. And the same people, the same businesses that are running the validators for existing network are actually using our IZTKF framework to better serve their own customers. What do you think a major problem in today's payment infrastructure is and how can we solve it through XTC? Yes, so if you look at something like a very basic KYC or AML check, and if you go to a bank, the bank can take like 10 days to do it, but then if you have a direct on-chain integration to tools like Samsung, they can do your KYC direct, they can verify you and they can verify your address or your account number in like less than a minute, right? I think there is no traditional banking framework which can work as fast as that and your less than a minute you have set up your account, you have verified it and then you are ready to transact with the world. This applies to individuals who want to transact, this applies to merchants who want to sell and this kind of framework that operates 24-7 around the clock at passive speeds, not available in the banking world and this is where I think the layer that we've built in XTC for the last 10 years with our consumers, with our customers, with our institutional partners acts as a key backbone for for that growth and that's where it really becomes an abler that the general banking framework cannot do. And what do you see about XTC's future that you're most excited about. Yes so last 10 years we were trying hard to explain our use cases like why should you use stablecoin why should do tokenization but the fact that now it's become an interface for the agent AI framework that you can access this functionality on top of growth open AI and all those tools I think it's exciting that it's become product market fit. You can finally have a use case, telling it to all the businesses, all the consumers that why you need it, right? And this is I think the biggest possibility, timing wise, opportunity wise and exponential growth wise. The AI companies are raising hundreds of billions of dollars. So how do you make them actually convert that into monetization? They don't have tools here. If they depend on the overbacking system, they will not be able to do it. And this is I think the limitless possibilities that all the hard work that we have put together, building what we are. I think with the convergence of AI blockchain that has come to a point where it just perfectly died for exponential growth. And so we just opened our new office in New York and we're also opening an office in London. How do you feel about these office openings and having physical presence in these new countries? Yes, so we are in the business last 10-plus years, we are one of the longest running blockchain networks out there which means people really depend on us, people really trust on us. So we need to have faces, we just can't be on telegram groups or WhatsApp, people need to see us live and we are doing great, we generate fees, we are self-sustainable in a way and this is where I think the next generation of partners, they need to see us in action work closely with us on much bigger use cases. I think these offices act as those access points for regulators, for governments, for institutions to work and build those solutions together with us. amazing. Are there any specific companies that you see our new tools really helping and really providing for? I think the most consumer facing ones like insurance companies, travel companies are like the post ones that are going to come in like a door dash or what have you here. I think their entire interface is going to change. People are not going to be going to apps anymore. They'll just ask your OpenAI or GROC and this is where I think they'll have to transform themselves from being a web to an application to an actual agenting application. And this is where I think they need a layer to build on top of it. And these are, I think, some of the very early interesting opportunities that we see that will be coming out. And so XTC has been primarily crypto blockchain and now getting into agenting payments. Do you see it primarily staying in the agentic portion or primarily will always be blockchain? I think I think it's good to kind of call it the infrastructure layer now infrastructure layer for fast transaction for agentic payments Blockchain was a term. It's a way you you don't call a skyscraper You know, you don't call it a brick or mortar anymore Yeah, call it a building or a commercial or you know something you have to you want to make it a name that people understand. And I think with the convergence of the AI tools that people are really using, blockchain becomes a fundamental way in which how the technology works underlying and how things operate. But really I think AI and the way people interact with it is how they will understand us better going forward. That's why we're calling it the infrastructure for ejectic finance. And if you were to have one or two words when people hear XDC, what do you want them to think? I think it's the infrastructure for next generation of commerce. That's amazing. Are there any parting thoughts that you'd like to leave our viewers with? We want people to come and work with us, there are limitless possibilities, we have this great office in New York now, the possibilities seem very less real and that's why we want be working closely with our partners, with our community together around the world, not just here in New York, but in London, in Dubai, in Tokyo, in Singapore, all the places were established and established on a more basis, because we have to really work closely with the ecosystem and make it all happen. It's kind of like an open invitation for everyone to come and join us. Thank you so much, Atul. It was great to speak with you.
