What was the biggest mistake you made in crypto? It's advice for beginners.
Sen. Mark Warner said: "I want this done..I'm tired of being in crypto hell..I want America to lead in digital assets" [Spoken audio]: I just because I do want you to hear this. You know, it's one of the first bipartisan groups still trying to get a clarity act done We touched on this briefly You would not want a clarity act that increase the ability of illicit finance to take place Suddenly with the blessings of law, would you? Well, thank you senator. I mean, it's vital that the clarity act provide to speak a little closer I'm it's vital that the That the clarity act provide rules and tools for the Treasury Department and the administration to be able to counter illicit So what you would be concerned if the Trump Department of Justice with technical assistance said that the the standard proposed By industry and some of my Republican colleagues would actually make it easier for illicit finance to take place This just happened the last couple days. We that would concerns you wouldn't it? It would be concerning. Yes, sir Good. I tend to work with you and and and the Secretary, you know, I want this done and I am tired of being in crypto hell, but we got to do it in a way that doesn't make this circumstance worse. I want America to lead in digital assets. Did we get it wrong? The downside ramifications could be huge as well.

Polymarket Combos Are Disgusting When you build a combo, you aren't trading on a fair and transparent market. A regular user waits up to 10 seconds for a price. Meanwhile, the MM calculates the price in a fraction of a second and gets a whole second to cancel the trade if

Good regulations offer consumer protections without sacrificing innovation. How does MiCA fare? On user protection, it's good. The rules on custody and asset segregation are strong safeguards of client funds. On innovation, it drags. Home-grown startups face a lot of friction [Spoken audio]: Could MikaR serve as a global blueprint for balancing consumer protection with crypto sovereignty? Even though I value that in Europe consumer protection has a very high level, but if you look at other jurisdictions, other factors are very important too, and I think MikaR is not perfect in other ways. So one example that I think we're all struggling is actually bringing assets to the market in a legally compliant way where especially with crypto it's clear you can't just outlaw it. A very good example is USDT which is not Mica regulated and therefore cannot be publicly offered in the EU but it's still by far the biggest stable coin. And there's some blockers where I would say at this point nobody knows if ever and how this will be solved. There's no digital Euro stable coin coming up any time soon, and as I said. Reifersen is doing it here now, together with the others. So this is what I feel with Mika that yes, the consumer protection part is very strong and maybe a role model, but there's some other things which look into the market, into product development that are not as groundbreaking. Yeah, I can agree. So the consumer protection stuff was actually done quite elegantly in Mika because comparative to, let's say MIFI-2, where they went into a lot more detail, they left more up to the market on how to resolve it and kept it higher level. And that's probably also why it works quite well. And of course, there is going to be more and more guidance and more and more complexity from the ISAs, but still that works quite well and is also received well abroad from what I see discussing with other regulators. On the liquidity slash stable confront, the EU just took a different decision, right? It was a decision that had different reasons. I have my own personal views on this, which maybe don't coincide with the FMA's views, so I'm not gonna talk about them too much, but there was definitely a decision made against innovative business models, especially in the stable coin space, for the perceived benefit of monetary sovereignty. That was also the driving point of why Mika was made so quickly at the time, because we know there was this Facebook Libra shock and everybody freaked out, and I think this half of Mika is basically without stable coins, and the way it was done is also highly reliant, especially on the single-currency stable coins on already licensed players within the banking space, actually. And this is something that may have to change to keep Europe competitive in this space, because you basically have to have one of the biggest licenses there is to be able to issue such tokens and other countries, especially when you look at the US, take a completely different approach. And if you want to get rid of this US dollar dependency, we will have to have strong Euro stable coins, which currently there are some, right? And it's growing, but it's still, as you say, USDT is still by far the biggest. And Europe will never hopefully live in a completely isolated liquidity world where we don't share liquidity with the globe. And the US is still the global reserve currency. So it's a bit delusionary to think that we can just like change all of this by creating a law. Yeah, so also like just from a day-to-day issue, I, as a European, would like to offer all the European customers directly euro to all the 500 coins that may be interesting to them, but due to the fact that most of the market is US dollar determined, it's just not possible. So we may have the best consumer protection, but what in fact may be much more beneficial to the customer, meaning that they can buy directly with euro certain coins for a very, very reasonable fee rate is not possible because as you said some decisions were made which are at least questionable.
