@WALLY_DAO

Everyone building in this space assumed the rest of the world would be fine using USDC or USDT... Co-Founder & CEO @etherfuse , @EtherfuseDave 's bet is that they won't because paying an FX fee just to buy a soda in Mexico with a "stablecoin" defeats the entire point. [Spoken audio]: You know, a lot of people in the blockchain space are taking the old model, which I would say is, you know, the world is like 70% swift. I mean, managed, you know, through a swift process. And then you have these little off-ramps in these different countries. Swift is the rails of like the financial future. The blockchain's promise was to enable people to connect without any intermediary. intermediary. And so we felt like no one was really serving the rest of the world and allowing them to bridge on chain. So today, if I'm in Mexico, and I want to use this stablecoin back credit card, I only have USDC or USDT or PayPal USD as options, right? So I take my credit card and I go buy a soda I have an unnecessary FX involved just to buy a soda. So my costs are way more expensive. Where if you take our say taste products and you collateralize your credit card payment with it, there's no FX fee. And for some reason, we've just assumed that the rest of the world's going to be okay with this and that it's going to work how it used to work.
