[Spoken audio]: Hello everyone, my name is Wande Abmuga and I lead operations for Bitcoin Dada and Dada Devs. So if you don't know what Bitcoin Dada does, we are a non-government organisation, non-profit that deals in educating women financial literacy with a particular focus on Bitcoin. And Dada Devs is the technical arm of Bitcoin Dada and what we do is we train female African developers to code on Bitcoin and Lightning and other emerging technologies. So, today we just had our talk about how we are existing beyond the barrier, right? Kus now we are talking about women developers who are already in this space building, contributing open source on projects like BTCP, Sava, ChainCon Labs, portfolios and such, Warnet, all that. And yeah, we are looking forward to having a lot more women join our cohorts. We are actually open for applications dada devs ko hot five. So if you're an African female developer watching this, this is your space. We are the future of Bitcoin. So my background is in civil engineering and then I pivoted into software engineering so we have two and then after that I found dada devs which is how I found Bitcoin engineering and that has been amazing. You don't need to have a background in Bitcoin, in finance, literally I was not interested in finances at all before Bitcoin but bitcoin is actually a freedom tool, it's a freedom technology and it's everything. That's all I can tell you, like get into it. This is a space for everyone, it's permissionless and it's amazing and it's growing, you want to be part of this.

Like it's weird that those have stayed so separate for so long. Obviously we've had like we chat pay, we've had Facebook Messenger has payments, Cash App has light messaging stuff. But those all rely on a central custodian, they all rely on banks and are all KYC platforms. They're the very privacy invasive and they don't have the private messaging aspect that signal does so for us It was really just bringing together those two things where the people that you already chat with you should be able to pay them directly You shouldn't have to ask them for a cash tag and go pay them in cash up You shouldn't have to ask them for a lightning invoice and go find your lightning wallet and pay it that way and then Do this copy paste send repeat switch apps thing It's just about shifting that UX flow and making it something where Bitcoin can become just a normal part of everyday life rather than something that you like, you go out of your way to use. That's a huge focus for us at Radar.
