Shoutout to @OthersideMeta and @yugalabs for being Pioneers Can’t wait until Apes are able to get in at the ground level one day when it goes public [Spoken audio]: Today, we're going to show you some of the AI tools we've been using to help develop other side. A long-term goal is for people to be able to build new experiences in the ODK with these tools. To be clear, you will not be building your other deed from scratch. We'll be giving you a base deed that's already made so you can harvest resources and customize it. But in addition to the other deed, we're also going to be giving you the Legos to be able to build experiences using the art of other side. So let's get into it. to show you how we use natural language to develop ideas quickly and iterate on other side. Here you can see how memory is stored. I'm typing hi. I'm figgy. You can see in this panel it's getting stored in the current thread and the code agent has stored the memory of my name into thread. So when I ask what's my name, the code agent says your name's figgy. This goes beyond just remembering somebody's name. Here you can see our vision is that people should be able to manipulate environments and build things in Unreal Engine using AI and natural language. So instead of learning crazy tools, you can say, hey, make a big sun in the sky and make the ground blue. And just like that, it'll understand what you're trying to do. Here's how it works under the hood. We have a collection of these helper functions, and what these are are examples of the type of response we want the LLM to give back. When we say color, we really want the color presented in a certain syntax. That That way when we tell the engine that we want the sun to be smaller, it knows how to interpret that and it knows what modification needs to be made to the scene. See the sun just got smaller. We could also do more complex things like asking it to put the sun high in the sky and making the ground pink. To do this we had to build a small little interface and what's happening under the hood here is there's a series of blueprints that wrap and unwrap your prompts in a way that basically enables you to vibe code only instead of seeing your code change you see your environment change. In this example we're using a library of placeholder assets. Don't worry about the quality of the rocks, the trees, and all that stuff. You'll see a bit later in this demo that we'll swap these out for high-quality other side assets. What we're actually focused on is a system that can be controlled with natural language and be able to use that to iterate quickly on environment ideas. The way we're doing that is this method called PCG. This is Unreal's native tool for putting stuff together procedurally and we use these red, green, and blue maps to define our direction rules in place. Now obviously these demos are low quality worlds, but here you can see we've been putting a lot of work into the 3D assets. We plan on shipping almost a thousand high quality other side assets as early as next month. We want people to use these LEGO pieces to build the most immersive experiences on on the blockchain. Here you can see some of the assets from the Felden biome, and here from the Obsidian biome. This system that we've been playing with is more than just cloning objects to surfaces. We're actually placing code on the surfaces. Inside this spline is an unreal blueprint, with rules about what types of objects to lay down and their corresponding densities. There's also an expert mode, where we're able to tweak this stuff and modify things like relative size of the asset, so we can really dial in the art direction of this environment. So this is going to take a lot more development before it's at the point where anyone who hasn't used Unreal before is able to make environments and even games on their own. But we wanted to share this with you, so that you could see our vision for how otherside an apechain are at the center of the intersection between AI and blockchain.
