Receiving of closed account funds. Recently had my account put under review, and decided that my accounts will be permanently closed. I have no issues with this, I can see how my history can look suspicious, and their reasoning. Its been almost 2 weeks now since I received the email of the closure from the 'specialist team'. I have money in a chequing account, and crypto assets, at the time of the closure and being locked out of my accounts. For the first few days the team member communicating with me, said they were awaiting instructions on how to proceed. And did not know what the process to receive my funds would be. I then got a message saying it was being returned to the sending institution, and I did not need to do anything more. I replied asking what that even means, the funds in account came from different avenues, and in different asset form. And that per the agreement sections for closure of accounts, funds would be transferred to myself.
