[Spoken audio]: What point does transparency stop being a feature and start becoming a bug? Well, transparency is never a bug, but it just is a question of what are you transparent about and what properties does the transparency facilitate? So there's this misnomer that it's either private or public and the reality is they live together. It's like a yin and yang. You have to be in a harmonious balance of the two if you want a real society. So, what does the blockchain bring? It brings immutability and auditability and global availability. Everybody sees the same thing at the same time. And when it's there, you can verify it, you can check it, and it hasn't been tampered with. Well, if you have privacy, what you do is use your knowledge or other technologies and create proof. And the proof is whatever you want it to be. It could be a selective disclosure saying that Jack here is over the age of 21. You're not gonna tell me his actual age or where he's born or any of these other things, but it can just be a binary statement, a Boolean statement, yes or no, one or zero. And so the blockchain can possess that proof. Now that proof is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it can never be changed, it can never be manipulated, it's transparent, everybody can see it, but it's what he wanted to say about himself. And when you put these two systems together, What you end up creating is an emergent property where you get privacy at scale, verifiable privacy at scale that's rational.
