The blockchain is just what enables the assets, right? You can make all sorts of arguments that a truly internet-native store of value must have privacy as a non-negotiable, right? Because if it's trackable, then you really just created some weird fiat alternative with more surveillance. It's also not truly fungible, right? If in a digital coin, if you have history attached to it, then you can't necessarily swap it for the other. And so the fungibility suffers. There's also sorts of other arguments you can make, like the cypherpunks started Bitcoin, and the cypherpunks entire operating module is that you use privacy for individual choice and sovereignty. And then you can point to things like Satoshi in the early forums talking about this and how Finney and Satoshi even cited Zuko in the first Bitcoin post, right?
