Hashi: Bringing native BTC into DeFi without needing wrapped BTC Currently, only about 0.5% of BTC is being used in DeFi. The reason is that many institutions are still wary of bridges and wrapped BTC due to security risks and concerns over asset control. [Spoken audio]: 0.5% of the BTC are active in DeFi today. So let's change that. Why do people not want to put their BTC at risk? People generally are okay with putting the asset at risk, but they don't want a necessity risk of getting hacked. Your bridge getting hacked, or you're wrapping in some liquid staking and people misuse it. We talk to a lot of people, institutions, sovereign entities, and say, no way. We don't trust that. We don't want to deal with that kind of risk. And that's what we want to do is hash it. So it's still BTC on chain. We don't need you to wrap it and then move the wrap version onto some other layers. The BTC is still on BTC chain. You still see it. You verify it's there. You have control over it. You can then use hash to borrow against it. And then the stablecoin could be put to work. Borrowing against your variable assets is not a new concept. But borrowing against it in a way that doesn't incur tax penalties, that's important. The other thing we got is we can layer insurance on top to guard against any kind of risk when it comes to the protocol risk. That's, we think, the magic combination.

There is a strange familiarity to $BTC price action right now. When Bitcoin was bottoming in 2022 it was mind numbingly boring. Nothing happened for months and everyone stopped paying attention. We are in that stage right now. Good news is the bear market is almost over.
