That was only Phase 1!” $ALGO [Spoken audio]: The first thing, when I joined Algorand, you know, Silvio asked me, hey, we really believe that post-quantum is going to be very important. And so one of my, you know, first and major activities with Algorand was to make state proofs which are post-quantum attestations or post-quantum integrity for the state of the ledger, the state of the algorithm blockchain. And so we designed that. We used what's called a digital signature scheme, which was later selected by NIST as one of the standards that they will have. And that's called Falcon. And Falcon was the underlying post-quantum signature scheme that's used in state proofs. And that went live, I think, in late 2022 with a real protocol. And every 256 blocks, we have a post-quantum attestation of the entire state of the chain. That's been running continuously for more than three years now. So that was kind of the first step to get both the ledger history locked down and post-quantum secured, but also gave us a lot of experience with this Falcon signature scheme. It gave us a lot of experience with how it behaves in a real live deployment on our network and gave us just those kind of learnings and lessons that we are now using further for like late last year, we introduced Falcon logic sig accounts. So you can have an account, which the account itself is now protected by a post-quantum signature scheme, again, Falcon, and that was enabled through a very cool logic signature primitive that previously existed in the Algorand protocol. So those are two things that are done and shipped and have been running successfully for months and years.
