I’ve started caring more about how a protocol handles stress than how much yield it offers Over the last year my approach to DeFi has shifted quite a bit. I used to spend more time looking for attractive yields. These days I find myself asking different questions first: How does this protocol actually make money over time? What happens to liquidity and incentives if the market turns? How hard would it be to exit at scale during a downturn? Focusing on resilience and incentive alignment instead of just current APY has changed which opportunities I even consider. I’m curious how other people think about this.
