We ask @basedlayer - What's the difference between AI psychosis and falling down the Bitcoin rabbit hole? Full interview [Spoken audio]: Holy shit, that was like crazy dangerous. What's your take on AI psychosis? Have you seen it in real life? I've seen it with myself very early on. Holy shit, that was like crazy dangerous. And I remember so vividly because we were in Korea traveling with my wife. She's like, what the fuck are you doing? Come back to reality a little bit. And it's like Bitcoin too. I mean, I think a lot of people had Bitcoin psychosis in the beginning too. When it clicks in your head, you're all in. And you want the rest of the world to know. And you become like this like insufferable person that everybody hates. Because of the way the chat works, It emulates a lot, like talking to a superhuman who can code stuff for you in literal minutes. It becomes very addictive because of the degree of effectiveness, the speed and the fun it is. So I've seen myself in two hours and hours. I was with Peter McCormack, he said, I just did a 19-hour session, you know. Told my family, like, I'm locked in, just do whatever you had to do. And I'm locked in for the next day. And after kind of like recovering from those causes, I've been putting some guardrails for myself and for my agents. I do like the fact that agents work for me while I sleep, but at the same time now I am kind of like conscious about that because I think it's nice to just go to sleep knowing that, hey, everybody's chilling, including the agents.

We've been here before. #BIP110 [Spoken audio]: think you'd argue that without proof of work there is no Bitcoin. Would you say that? Correct. Absolutely. Bitcoin is primarily proof of work. So let's understand the Bitcoin Civil War then. What did you see based on your experience as a miner and were the design decisions that people were fighting over in this civil war? I mean, it was governance by proof of work. So the the white paper, the white paper is very clear that the way that you validate blocks and the way that you decide if the rules are followed is by building valid blocks upon valid blocks. And then in the closing paragraph, it even says there's a reason why we don't have one IP address one vote. And it's because an IP address can't necessarily can't build a block, not in and of itself. If you can build a block, you're a Bitcoin node. If you cannot build a block, you are just an IP address. Yes, that's an important distinction if you want a system that is made up of brute force people who maintain their. Yes. So a listener, an IP address, an endpoint for people that understand basic network terminology is separate from a Bitcoin node. It may not necessarily be a Bitcoin node. It is a node if it builds a block. If it does not build a block, Satoshi warned that they don't have any say in the governance of Bitcoin. And this is so crucial because even in 2012-2013, this era, Peter Todd, an influential developer at the time, came out and he said, no, no, no, we need everybody to participate in node governance. They created this BIP process. The BIP is the Bitcoin improvement proposal process. Then one of the first things they did in the BIP process is they said, okay, we're going to allow every endpoint on the network to signal for upgrades. So it's an essential yes, no, or red, green, pass, fail sort of election process. So this was the very beginning of turning Bitcoin into a democratic network as opposed to a proof of work network.
