It will be the ordinary people that will have their privacy taken away from them. Not the criminals. Pavel Durov has spent years arguing that privacy and freedom aren't luxuries at all. They are fundamental rights. Think about it. Every day we message our families, run businesses, learn new skills, and build communities online. If someone controls those conversations, they control far more than an app. They influence ideas, opportunities, and even the future. Ladies and gentlemen, it is worth noting that digital freedom isn't about hiding something. It is about having the choice. The choice to speak. The choice to create. choice to build without unnecessary barriers. As such, technology should empower people not to control them.
