Algorand has been on fire lately From institutional adoption and quantum security to real-world asset adoption, it's been another packed month!! Let's break down the biggest updates [Spoken audio]: Over the last month, Algorand had a full calendar, so let's go through some of the bigger updates and talk about what they mean for you. Hi, I'm Linda and if you'd like to see more content like this, make sure to give me a follow. One area where Algorand continues to show up is international organizations. The United Nations Development Program or UNDP recently launched a new blockchain advisory group made up of 26 organizations from across the blockchain industry. the Algorand Foundation is one of its founding members. The group will meet regularly to explore how Blockchain Tech can be applied to development initiatives and public sector challenges around the world. Now, whether these discussions eventually lead to major implementations remains to be seen, but it's nice to have a seat at these tables. Personally, I'm sure something good will come of it. Algorand has also become the first Blockchain to run an entire debt-contract life cycle on-chain in a way that judges found credible. That achievement earned Algorand's depth standard application second place in the Global Actors use case competition. This shows that debt agreements can be managed automatically on blockchain infrastructure to reduce paperwork and manual processes. This could help lay the groundwork for more advanced financial products in the future. So well done. On the real-world asset side, Hypercube announced a 10-year partnership with Waterallia, a company operating across 140 countries in the water management sector. The goal is to improve transparency and efficiency in how water infrastructure and resources are managed, with Algorand being part of the underlying technology stack. It's still in the early days, but it's just another example of blockchain being applied to industries that most of us wouldn't normally associate with crypto. And I'm glad to see some action in the humanitarian sector. I think Algorand is really pioneering here in multiple different areas. So a big shout out for trying to make a change in the world. The German Federal Foreign Office, together with PoliSync and HESUP-Pay, also piloted blockchain-based USDC-8 payments into Syria. And it settles on Algorand. According to the results, transaction costs were reduced by as much as 73%. percent. Payments were processed 42 times faster and the overall payment flow became much easier to track and verify. Hesapay has a good track record here already because in a similar program in Afghanistan they offered assistance to over a million people. I love to see crypto being used for something practical because at the end of the day people receiving aid don't really care what it's used in the background. They just care that funds arrive faster. The organizations want less costs to move the funds and an easy way to be accounted for properly, and in this case, it looks like Algorand can help improve all three of these things. Now, before we wrap it up, here are a few ecosystem updates. The first pieces of AlgorKit 4.0 have started rolling out, giving developers new tools to build on the network. More than 450 United Nations professionals have now graduated from the Algorand Blockchain Academy. Algorand is now available on Robinhood across all U.S. states, and the Algorand Foundation outlined its plans to make the network more resilient against future quantum computing threats by the end of 2027. The upgrades will start to roll out as early as Q3 of this year, and they include native post-quantum accounts, support for multiple signature schemes and additional security improvements. Most likely, the next big narratives will be about security, compliant access, privacy and agentic payments.
