Very well said @mechanikalk I hope people take 8 minutes to listen to this. One simply can't "BS" their way through something like this. Dr. K is a great thinker and has our ethos. I'm veryyy eager to see @QuaiNetwork on @THORChain [Spoken audio]: So, at least today in the United States, we got the day off, most of us, yes. And it's because of the Fourth of July, and it is the 250th anniversary of the founding of the country. And even though today there's issues with the United States government and the bureaucracy which no longer really represents the people to which it is supposed to serve and executes pernicious foreign wars across the globe while funding them through the basement of the currency by stealthily stealing everybody's money through inflation. You have to remember that 250 years ago this was a pretty grand idea and the idea was pure and the idea was good. And that was that individuals could be able to determine their own destinies free of monarchs, free of rulers, and even though we've lost our way, still don't embody that idea within the heart and the soul, I think, the American idea and the American spirit. And what we're talking about with cryptocurrencies is a very similar idea in that we are trying to address the rot that has become the republic, the rot that has happened with the establishment of the central banks. that has enabled these fiat currencies, enabled this stealing of wealth, which supports the surveillance state. So when we talk about cryptos, when we talk about stable coins, when we talk about not stable coins, what we're really talking about is liberation and freedom, and the ability to have a society filled with sovereign individuals in pursuit of their own happiness through their free choices and free will. So when Sal says something like he doesn't want the option of stable coins, stable coins aren't even an option. Everything that you have to do with crypto if you want to embody and understand that idea, explicitly rules out the potential for using a stablecoin. The stablecoins are an extension of the rot, the decadence, the manipulation, the surveillance, theft in the foreign wars, which I think many of us do not support or subscribe to, but we're involuntary participants every time we use a dollar. Even if we use a dollar referentially as a price, we're supporting that construct, that infrastructure, that idea. So what I What I should say is on the 250th anniversary of the founding of this country, which once was a great country, but it's still established on a great idea. We should declare our own independence, and that is using cryptocurrencies to declare financial independence, to declare independence from that surveillance state, to declare independence from that political machine to declare independence from becoming panopticon that is closing around us. So it's not an option. It's a necessity if we want to remain free people in a digital world. Do y'all catch that? Very well said. Y'all feel that rising up within you? Is that why you joined late? fucking go I'm ready to go grab my gun let's go yeah we'll go grab my gun well sad well guys when when we talk about the founders and we talk about cryptocurrencies you have to understand that cryptocurrencies embody two of the things that the founders is codified in the Bill of Rights, which is the First Amendment and the Second Amendment. And what cryptocurrencies do is they put money into the domain of both the First and Second Amendment, the First fundamentally because it's speech. And the Second in that it's an economic form of power if it's using proof of work. So you have to understand that the Second Amendment is a violent form of power, but with proof of work we've figured out how to create an economic form of power, but both of those things are necessities for systems which are independent of the state and state control. So the fact that we have built a proof of work crypto system as a mechanism of speech but under the construction of proof of work, which is a projection of economic power, is in perfect alignment, even 250 years later of the founding and almost 240 years after the Bill of Rights, in that it's perfectly analogous to what the founders thought were the two most fundamental things, we have now just updated those ideas for a digital age. And so the things that we're dealing with here are as powerful and are as impactful as the freedom of speech, the right to petition your government, and the right to bear arms. Cryptocurrencies are an armament, and if we actually can educate enough people to what they can do, now that we have something like QUI, which is actually technologically sufficient to function as an alternative monetary system, you have to realize that a crypto is far more powerful than armaments. It's far more powerful than guns. It's far more powerful than a tank. And arguably it's far more powerful than nuclear weapon. As long as we can get a critical mass of people deciding to use this system rather than support the old one. Because if you do that, you can fundamentally displace the power of not just one, but of all nation-states bureaucracies and governments simultaneously worldwide. So today we should take in this idea and realize that it is incumbent upon us in our lifetime right now, if we want to remain free to adopt these systems, to educate people about these, and to get them to come into practical use again if we want to remain independent and free.
