Aave spends about $50M a year buying its own token on the open market. Over 205,000 $AAVE bought back already. But here's the part people skip: it doesn't burn them, it parks them. Off the market for now, not gone forever. Full breakdown in the video [Spoken audio]: Today, we're scoring Aave's buyback and its impact on both the Aave network as well as the token price for AAVE. And just for context, I want you to understand kind of what Aave does exactly with its profits. It buys Aave, again AAVE, on the open market. About $50 million a year and over 205,000 tokens already. So how does this impact the network? It doesn't really have a strong effect one way or the other, and therefore we're We're scoring it a neutral 5.0 because ultimately buying tokens doesn't change the underlying technology. Now, does the buyback impact the token price? In this case, yes, and correspondingly, we're scoring it a bullish 6.5 because real cash is buying the token today. It's not some hypothetical. It's not some plan for some future date, not a maybe it is happening and it's real. It's live. however, is that Ave doesn't burn what it buys. Instead, it parks it in a reserve. So it's kind of off the market for now, that's how you can think of it, but it's not gone forever. So certainly positive overall, but just remember this is one variable, one single catalyst that is impacting the price of Ave. There are many more to consider and we score all of them in our full video.
