Jeff is a true HODLer. Such a cool treasure story. [Spoken audio]: His life is about to change forever, because you see this card right here? That is no ordinary Michael Jordan card. It is the greatest Michael Jordan card the world has never seen? Well, until now. See, meet Jeff. Him and his wife have worked at McDonald's for a combined 60-plus years. Jeff started out back in the 80s, making minimum wage, 3 bucks an hour. But secretly, in this tidy safe at Jeff's house, he's been storing an incredible treasure. And he's now finally making it available for sale. See, it was late one night in 1997, when Jeff rushed out of work and went straight to his LCS in Maryland to pick up a brand new box of flair showcase basketball the day it dropped. Jeff ran in, grabbed his box before the store closed, and then from his car, his 1992 Camaro, he proceeded to rip. Now, Jeff eventually got to one pack where the cards were almost stuck inside, and when he finally got them out and looked at the card in his hand, Jeff nearly passed out. Not just a Michael Jordan legacy, Row 1 number 200, a monster pull in itself. When Jeff looked closer at the card he was holding, he realized his was far more special than the other 99. He pulled the card that was Jersey number 23 out of 100. Jeff was holding a lottery ticket, a true one of one. And keep in mind, this was right after the Junk Wax era when serial number cards were just starting. So just imagine what was going through Jeff's head. This was the most important time period in basketball card history. Now, it's been almost 30 years since Jeff pulled this card, and practically anyone in his shoes would have sold it by now. And believe me, Jeff had many reasons to. In 2006, Jeff and his wife adopted three babies who needed a home, and they raised them on two McDonald's salaries. But that's not all, because also, when a friend of Jeff's family fell on hard times, Jeff took them in. A mother and three more kids. Twelve people living in one townhouse. It's tough to put into words just how awesome and tough of a guy Jeff is. But through all of this, Jeff held on to this card. Now, you're asking yourself, why? Well, it makes sense if you know Jeff. Lifelong Michael Jordan fan, his first $100 purchase as a high schooler was a pair of Jordan once. He loves Michael Jordan collectibles and for years after work, he would go to his LCS and rip packs trying to just chase Michael Jordan. However, no cards Jeff pulled. Not even Michael Jordan's rookie came close to this. But with Michael Jordan's card market now exploding to an all-time high, at least a dozen million dollar sales. Jeff has now decided this is the right time to cash in on this treasure and try to give his family a better life.
