Ebersole explains that the bill defines what constitutes a security and regulates asset movement on-chain, noting that legacy players like BlackRock are now involved. The host and Ebersole then discuss the legislative progress, with Ebersole expressing confidence that Congress is unified in making it law, while highlighting ongoing questions about its final passage. > > "tx Co-Founder and Chief Legal Officer @jaebersole1 on @Bloomberg . The Clarity Act answers what an asset is and who regulates it. How real-world assets move onchain is the harder problem, and the one that actually defines adoption. [Spoken audio]: We're joined by Ashley Ebersole, co-founder of RWA Infrastructure. It's a platform. He also served as senior counsel at the SEC. Ashley, good to have you on the program. What do you want to see in addition to the Clarity Act that would be enough of a framework for the industry? Moving from, you know, a definition of what's a security, what's a commodity, who's the regulator to how do you help assets move from the physical world to on-chain? And it doesn't do anything for that. That's the real trillion dollar opportunity. That's what's going to help, honestly, legacy players like BlackRock, Apollo, DTCC, we're not there at this phase. I'm confident we will be in the near future. The bank lobby has been pretty vocal in trying to slow things down and question almost everything in there. Have they watered down the bill enough to their liking? I mean, what did they get out of it at this point if it were to pass? Well, the bank lobby fought hard against Genius Act and they lost that one. So they really dug in and said clarity isn't going to become law They're doing their best to run out the clock. We're getting close to sort of the drop dead date for that As to whether provisions have been watered down enough You would think so they've done, you know a lot of work Congress is unified behind this becoming law. It's just a question of if there's time" ### Post #2 by @CoinMarketCap:Cointelegraph > **Author:** ([@CoinMarketCap:Cointelegraph](https://x.com/CoinMarketCap:Cointelegraph)) > **Metrics:** 0 likes · 0 retweets · 0 comments > **Posted:** 2026-06-24T15:24:57.138825+00:00 > **Source Link:** [https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/6a3bf6d12b91f8497edc30bd/](https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/6a3bf6d12b91f8497edc30bd/) > > "The Impossibility of Perfect Fairness in Transaction Ordering Consensus guarantees today, focus on two properties: Consistency and Liveness.
