[Spoken audio]: We need to talk about everything that has been happening when it comes to SUI. And sometimes some good things happen, sometimes some challenging periods are taking place. And I think the last part can definitely be the case right now with the events of the past few weeks. Can you tell us in the audience what has happened with the auditions or the errors that took place within the SUI network? Of course, of course. As everybody knows, SUI is one of of the most innovative blockchains out there, potentially the fastest one, and obviously we tried to build some of the new cool features that the modern blockchains would have. In this situation we have an incident where we're trying to offer some new functionality on SUE, which was related to address balances, so we have specific balances on your account for all of your tokens. There was an issue with the gas massing, and this code, like an issue on the validator website which created some outage for a few hours. Obviously when you are innovating so fast it is possible sometimes that you might miss something that is not humanly possible especially with like the innovation rate we're having but unlike Facebook because you know some of us are coming from Facebook and back then the motto was you know move fast break things I don't believe in this situation it was literally an outcome of this because the team was focusing on this feature for more than six months and imagine these are people used to work at Google, Facebook, Apple, Netflix, obviously there was a net case that we didn't cut and this unfortunately created a cascading effect where solving one then we created a low probability situation that it can cause again a similar issue and then eventually we found like the solution that forever will solve this this particular problem but I can assure you that the team and the brains working under this particular feature and you've seen how Evan, the CEO of Mr. Labs and the head of like this particular offering, Mark, they were very like accurate on, look, six months of some of the biggest brains were humans. There might be mistakes, but at the same time, I think the effort that is paid now to make the system by far more robust than ever is probably one of the best lessons we had. Okay, these things are happening but at the same time I believe the, if it was in another blockchain that issue, without having these brains behind it, I don't believe they would recover even in days, right? So I feel, at least for my team, blessed in the sense that when you're trying to pretty much go very close to the speed of light, you want things to happen properly. We're learning from this, of course. This is a lesson for us as well. But I believe we're in a good direction here to be able to keep this robustness and the fast innovation that we want. I think a mistake is not bad that when it happens like an edge case can happen. I run a fund and there's sometimes some stuff that is taking place that we couldn't oversight or couldn't see beforehand. But one of the critical factors that do happen during these events is that there's a big gap between what the audience knows and what you guys know. So how are you going to essentially bridge the trust or like rebuild the trust again so the audience and the community says well we can trust you again? 100%. By the way as you realize there was no money lost in the situation and this is by design. In the first occasion where there was an issue at the consensus layer for this particular case obviously the ideal option is to halt compared to just losing money if something else happens right? So this one didn't affect any any balances, any any assets on every like on any client and in my opinion this was a big win in the sense that the system at least had this like you know backup mode where if something wrong happens at least protect all of the balances it worked. So in this occasion imagine what's happening when there is an incident. There is obviously a war room calling everybody across the world because you know where a mod first company there were the people across the world working. I was in Europe, people were in the United States. Everybody came to the same room, more than 30, 50 people actually eventually, working on the same like goal. Let's solve the problem and let's figure out how we can bring the network back. Obviously at this stage what's happening is you're running whatever possible from the security team, you need to make all of the analysis. Whatever you are proposing as a fix is a correct thing that doesn't break something else that loses money first. And in this situation, like some of the biggest brains in the organization, along with external people who help us on this scenario. And this is always happening. I'm also an auditor and someone who is participating in other forums, in other blockchains. I think we did the best thing in the centralized world because it's not one company pressing a button, right? And you are up in the next moment. You have to go to the validators. You have to tell them, look, guys, we have a fix. It takes some time for all of them to go up and running. Some of them are not in time zones that are like awake. And imagine all of them have to know properly to be educated what they're voting for, what they're bringing back to life. And in my opinion, the time we spent on this coordination was super paramount to go up and protect the balance at the same time, and fixing the problem after a couple of iterations. In my opinion, this is pretty much what's happening in every blockchain. I was, as I told you, auditor in multiple places before I even joined MISDOM. This is natural. What's happening in the background? You cannot imagine. There is stress, of course, at that time. But you cannot just press the button and fix something without going through thorough tests. And this is why you see sometimes a few things taking more than a few minutes."
