The on-screen text and captions walk through the argument that the company would need Bitcoin to crash to $10,000 before being forced to sell, noting their 11% leverage ratio, $6 billion in convertible notes, and variable rate preferred stock structure makes the "death spiral" narrative collapse under scrutiny. This cycle, it’s “ @Strategy is going to blow up.”or the ‘Death spiral”. @JoeConsorti walks through why that narrative falls apart when you actually understand the company’s capital structure. Facts > fear. [Spoken audio]: Why is the market cap 31 billion? I think this is just completely crazy. What are your thoughts on what's happened? I really respect what Sailor is doing. I don't have a material position in strategy, but I have been defending them a lot recently. Why is that? Well, you have a ton of absolute morons suggesting that somehow, some way Bitcoin is going to be at systemic risk because of what's happening with strategy, or that strategy is somehow about to get deleveraged. They're going to be forced to sell their Bitcoin. They're going to enter into a death spiral it's sort of infuriating when people just lie through their teeth And they'll call me a strategy bag holder. I literally just told you I don't own any of it Here's the reality folks the preferred equities are not debt The only debt that strategy has on its balance sheet still is about six billion dollars worth of convertible notes that only start coming Do at the end of twenty twenty seven and all of them are a zero percent coupon, okay? so If you take their balance sheet if you take the amount of Bitcoin they hold and their cash reserves relative to their debt They have a leverage ratio of 11% yeah, let me phrase that differently in order for them to be forced to Sell any Bitcoin forced right then Bitcoin would have to crash by another 89% and stay there for a year and a half So Bitcoin would have to crash to $10,000 and stay there for a year and a half Does anyone think that's gonna happen? No, of course not. Then you might say well, if it does happen, they're gonna be forced to sell. No, they won't be forced to sell because they've tapped the capital markets before. They have raised tens of billions of dollars over the last four years alone in order to raise funds to buy Bitcoin. In order to raise funds to pay the dividend, right? They have no issue whatsoever, right? They have a 10% leverage ratio. The preferreds, they can raise and lower the yields as they please. The dividend rather. the dividend yield. They can raise lower the dividend yield as they please. They're fine. Everybody is pissing themselves about strategy being as down as it is right now. It's at its lowest level since March of 2024. You want to know what is also at its lowest level since March of 2024? Bitcoin. So literally all of these assets are in the same spot that they were two and a half years ago. Not to mention that all of strategies prefers have done this exact same thing before. Strike, strife, stride. All of them have fallen below 100. In fact, all of them have spent most of their life away from 100. Everyone wants to find a villain. And so, and also everyone wants to think of the next Michael Burry. Like what I'll say as far as stretch is concerned is that look, it's a preferred stock, volatility is to be expected. There was never any peg around $100. Stretch is not a stablecoin, right? It is a free floating variable rate preferred stock, and the market is just telling you that it wants a higher yield, and it's actually sensible to want a higher yield because now that Bitcoin is closer to its bottom, Bitcoin is going to have a higher cagger over the next couple of years, so they want to be compensated for a higher percentage of that than just 11.5%. It makes logical sense. And again, this is coming from a guy who just owns Bitcoin. I don't own any of this stuff. I respect what Taylor is doing. I understand what he's doing, and because I'm I'm not a sensationalist who can actually explain himself. I'm not saying that these people are in for a death spiral or anything slowly like that. There's probably more downside, but there's no systemic risk to strategy. There's no systemic risk to Bitcoin. Everyone's fine." ### Post #36 by @cryptogoos > **Author:** CryptoGoos ([@cryptogoos](https://x.com/cryptogoos)) > **Metrics:** 181 likes · 19 retweets · 28 comments · 9.0K views > **Posted:** 2026-06-27T21:14:00+00:00 > **Source Link:** [https://x.com/cryptogoos/status/2070978979201515876](https://x.com/cryptogoos/status/2070978979201515876) > **Video Content:** The video is a CNBC "Squawk on the Street" segment featuring Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, seated alongside two anchors in the studio, with the ticker "BITCOIN BOUNCING AROUND $60K" displayed.
