“The speculation side of things kind of died out progressively. People were less and less interested in the speculation angle of

[Spoken audio]: How have you managed this during one of our, you know, roughest periods in crypto? Yeah, so I think a few things. I think there's two interesting phenomenon around crypto. The first one is that the speculation set of things kind of died out progressively. Like people were less and less interested in the speculation angle of crypto. They were not able to make as crazy returns as they used to. And also there was a lot of attention taken away with like AI stocks or with like prediction markets, et cetera, which, you know, took away a lot of these crowds that made all the businesses that were around speculation less profitable, right? And so when the basically the craze died out progressively, well, you're only left with like the technology and the infrastructure play, right? And so the big question in the big angle is like, how the blockchain technology and how crypto can enable real world businesses, how can it enable financial infrastructure that is, you know, offering similar services that what we do today but in a way that is more open and as a result more efficient, like better interest rate, but less fees, deeper liquidity, and more accessible for everybody. And I think, you know, generally the projects that have, you know, been successful during this period and we continue to grow are the one that focus on this angle is that crypto is infrastructure, crypto is technology that's, you know, existing financial services, you know, fintech, exchanges, banks as a managers will use as their back end, basically. And, and, unfortunately, it's very hard to get right, because you need to get the product and the technology right and safe. And you also need to get the go-to-market right, which brings me to the second point, which I think was very important over the last year or so, is like it was not only about building a cool protocol with a good mechanism design, it was also, you know, making sure that it fitted the requirement of those large enterprises that are moving on-chain, you know. The Coinbase is the Robinhoods of the world and pretty much every single other fintech that is now looking at stablecoins are going to move on-chain, are going to use DeFi to do all of this type of stuff. And if you want to survive in crypto now as a project, you have to make sure you can ride this wave and you can go to market with the players, win the most important deals, snowball on those deals, continue to iterate on your product, continue to aggregate talent etc. So in some way, to close this out, you know, it's really like the ecosystem has matured, like projects are merging, a lot of talent is concentrating as well. So in some capacity over the last year, Morpho from a talent perspective has grown immensely, like the team is much, much stronger because we basically were able to have all the best talents from all the teams that were not doing so well, they came and joined Morpho."
