Cybercrime is one of the biggest problems we have on the planet right now, costing humanity collectively around $10 trillion a year. And this is why I say the future of the internet will be built on ICP because ICP is the best solution for cybercrime. Most hacks happen because centralized systems are private databases that are still built directly on the hardware. They have admin panels that credentials can get leaked. You have insecure APIs or APIs that are vulnerable to AI attacks. You can get into cloud misconfigurations, phishing attacks, all kinds of vulnerable backend servers and endless amounts of complexity that guarantee that there's going to be some place to slip in. And if you wanna see how toxic this is, just imagine going viral only to have your website get hacked. Or notice how sometimes a significant part of the entire internet will go down because one person in one place screwed up one small thing. ICP is able to stop the vast majority of cyber crime because right now, the way ICP is built, it hosts everything directly on a blockchain. So what ICP does, it puts a layer of math between interfacing with all the code and the data. All the code and the data is all locked up inside of a blockchain. And that means you can't just go mess with it by getting the root password of a PC, by phishing somebody's computer in the office, by having some exploit in an admin panel or having some tiny firewall error or by AI going through and finding every possible little issue in your complicated system. Right now, if the reason to move to ICP, one of the biggest reasons is to stop all the cyber crime. It's extremely expensive to try and prevent cyber crime and then you still can't prevent it most of the time. Right now, this is most sabotaging to smaller businesses that try and grow because when you're a small-ish business, nobody knows about you, but as soon as you start to grow a little bit, then you need to invest in a cybersecurity team. You need to start dumping money into security experts because then you're in a position to be attacked. ICP solves for all of that. And I will show you my website as a perfect example. So if you go to jerrybanfield.com, the main thing to do is to join the family there. This website is built on an infrastructure where you can't go in and hack my website. My website is secured by math. That means you can't go in and just, because you don't like me, you can't just go in and swap this picture out. Whereas if my website was hosted on WordPress, then somebody could probably use an AI tool and just swap the picture out because they felt like it or put something disgusting on my website and then get it taken down and have problems over it. My website is hosted on the blockchain because it is cheaper, because you have micro payments, you pay for only what you actually use, then it's cheaper to host my website on ICP and it's more secure. You can't come in and hack my website because right now it's read only, but even if I were to put it like an internet identity on it, then you can have it securely signed in directly on the blockchain through internet identity. On almost any other website, you can just hack it. There's one way or another to hack almost anything, especially with AI. And that is very much a problem if you have a business that is depending upon the website to not get hacked, to not get taken over by ransomware. With ICP, you can set it even like inside or cyber crime is huge where you have an insider that has access to everything and you fire them and they kept something where they could get in and access everything. And then you get stuck having to like pay them off or where they sell access to your system to somebody else. On ICP, you can have verifiable identities where you fire somebody, you remove them, they can't access anything and they can't have a back door into it anymore. That's why ICP solves huge real world problems and people needing those solutions, especially small and medium businesses, but even governments like Pakistan and Switzerland, they need those solutions too because they're tired of spending huge amounts of money. maybe Pakistan doesn't spend huge amounts of money, but Pakistan knows they can't build anything securely. Right now, ICP is the only way Pakistan has any hope of protecting themselves from cyber crime and protecting themselves from constantly getting spied on and controlled by the US and China. That's why Pakistan is looking to move their infrastructure onto ICP because they don't wanna keep, have anyone can just come in and hack their stuff. And then they're still looking, either they try and put it in country on their own servers, but then anybody can just come in and hack it and then they have to pay a bunch to try and secure it. When you're having countries like Pakistan with some people like, well, they're broke, what use are they? They're an example of how Pakistan, relative to most individuals in crypto retail, has a lot of money that they can spend. And ICP, stopping cyber crime, is a huge incentive for them to move their infrastructure. Switzerland, same thing. And when you see governments, enterprises, small and medium businesses, entrepreneurs like me, I mean, one reason I've got my website on ICP is because I know the moment I go viral, I'm very at risk of somebody coming in and screwing with my website. And I've went viral several times and either I dump a bunch of money into it and it crashes when I go viral or I pay a whole bunch of money and don't go viral and I wasted $1,000 or it crashes because I was on a cheap plan and didn't have enough hosting or I go viral and it's a prime target for hacking. Thus, my website is on the best infrastructure in the world and more and more people developers are going to start moving all their clients over onto ICP so they can protect their clients from getting attacked because if you're a web developer, a web hosting company and your client's website gets hacked because you had it on some junk infrastructure, which is most of the internet today, then you're gonna end up being liable because the client's gonna come to you and say, hey, why did my website get hacked? So, ICP, this is a huge narrative for ICP. The problem is $10 trillion. And if you base the solution, ICP's the best solution in the world that I know of for cyber crime, the market cap for ICP should probably be at least 100 billion, if not closer to a trillion dollars just on what it can do for cyber crime currently.
