Armstrong responds that when he was first trying to start companies and pursue tech innovation, he learned that anything worth doing won't be easy, so founders shouldn't shy away from hard problems. On-screen subtitles capture his advice: "based on your experience over the last... was first trying to start companies... some tech innovation... I think my advice would be... I think anything worth doing... Don't shy away from those problems... And by 20 years... tackle ambitious enough problems... how do we think bigger and go for," emphasizing his core message to think bigger when building a company. > > "Brian Armstrong’s #1 piece of advice for founders: “Think bigger” Goldman Sachs CEO David Soloman asks Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong for one piece of advice for entrepreneurs in the audience. Brian replies: “When I was first trying to start companies, I was looking for [Spoken audio]: If you had one piece of advice for the entrepreneurs in the room today based on your experience over the last, you know, 13 years, what would it be? Yeah. I mean, I think when I was first trying to start companies, I was looking for things that I, you know, only required some tech innovation. They were smaller ideas and none of them ended up really mattering. I think my advice would be go for more ambitious long-term projects. I think anything worth doing is going to have a tech component, but it's also going to probably going to have to bump up against legislation and the government. Don't shy away from those problems. Solving these hard problems is what creates value. It's probably going to take 10 years to even start to make a dent in it. And by 20 years, you'll have really started to have an impact. And so I think people generally don't tackle ambitious enough problems. That's where the value gets created. And there's fewer people who play in that space. And so I just keep thinking about, yeah, how do we think bigger and go for more ambitious effort?" ### Post #4 by @tokenterminal > **Author:** Token Terminal ([@tokenterminal](https://x.com/tokenterminal)) > **Metrics:** 55 likes · 4 retweets · 6 comments · 6.0K views > **Posted:** 2026-07-12T20:48:07+00:00 > **Source Link:** [https://x.com/tokenterminal/status/2076408285645676868](https://x.com/tokenterminal/status/2076408285645676868) > **Visual Note:** A line chart titled 'Robinhood Chain overtook Base in just 1.5 weeks,' comparing daily transaction counts, with Robinhood Chain (yellow) surging to 10.4M transactions versus Base's (blue) 6.4M. > > "Robinhood Chain overtook Base in just 1.5 weeks. He took Coinbase public, thoughtfully challenged an overreaching SEC and pushed two game-changing bills in Genius and Clarity. It was always a privilege (and fun) to speak with Paul. In our [Spoken audio]: So I did not grow up in a family of lawyers, Jacob. I didn't really know any lawyers as a kid. I had an idea though, whatever it was that lawyers did, that's what I wanted to do. And the reason for that was I knew that lawyers used words, I knew that lawyers represented others, and I knew that lawyers competed to win. And like those elements of the role, at least as I perceive them, called to me in a pretty profound way, even before I'd finished my primary education. And then as I got to college, learned a bit more about the law, what it meant to study the law, practice in the law. I was all in and so I went straight away to law school and the rest kind of followed from there. What were there ever any moments along that path where you considered other careers or was it pretty much, hey, I'm going into law and at every moment that was the ultimate goal? Yeah. I had a lot of angst about career. I come from a family of physicians. And so medicine was the natural place for me to apply my trade. And I went even so far as to apply to some medical school programs and got in and had to break my mother's heart when I told her I would not be accepting the offer. But she eventually forgave me. And I think in the large part because she understood maybe even before I did that I was always going to want to have a professional opportunity and a professional role where my work really would depend upon how I use the spoken and written word to achieve my goals. And that to me is fundamentally what law is about. I think regardless of what type of practice you have or where you practice, advocacy is grounded in language and in the use of spoken and written words. And that is what is, I think, called to me and satisfied me as much as anything in now almost 30 years of practice." ### Post #6 by @DiarioBitcoin > **Author:** Diario฿itcoin ([@DiarioBitcoin](https://x.com/DiarioBitcoin)) > **Metrics:** 0 likes · 0 retweets · 1 comments · 825 views > **Posted:** 2026-07-12T16:04:12+00:00 > **Source Link:** [https://x.com/DiarioBitcoin/status/2076336833152094242](https://x.com/DiarioBitcoin/status/2076336833152094242) > **Visual Note:** A cartoon depicting a courtroom scene with a thief stealing from a safe while a judge and other figures look on, overlaid with Spanish text: 'Tribunal de São Paulo falla contra Coinbase por hack de autocustodia y ordena devolver USD $100.000'. > > "São Paulo Court Rules Against Coinbase Orders the restitution of nearly USD $100,000 to a user for unauthorized transactions.
