He explains how to orchestrate complex coding tasks by setting effort levels to "medium, high" and creating workflows that chain together steps like exploring codebases, making changes, and running verification. He highlights a Claude Code documentation page about hooks and sub-agents, then shows how to enable workflow features with the command `/effort low` followed by `/workflow`, concluding with a diagram titled "Ultracode" that breaks down use cases like refactoring complex features, debugging across multiple files, and understanding large codebases. > > "THIS GUY USED OPUS 4.8 + KIMI K2.6 TO CUT HIS CODING BILL FROM $4,000 TO $700/MO. WITH KIMI RUNNING A 300-AGENT CODING FLOOR, HE STOPPED PAYING CLAUDE TO DO EVERYTHING kimi does the cheap heavy lifting. it can spin up hundreds of agents, push through thousands of steps, write [Spoken audio]: Yesterday, cloud released a new model opus 4.8, but they also released a new feature inside of cloud code, something called ultra code. And here is everything that you need to know about it. So ultra code is a setting inside of cloud code. And in order to enable it, you can do slash effort inside of cloud code. And then you have all of your reasoning efforts. So there's low, medium, high, extra high max. And then this new one, which is ultra code, which combines the extra high reasoning with this new workflows orchestration in the cloud code. docs that says that with ultra code on cloud decides when a task warrants a workflow, a single request can turn into several workflows in a row, one to understand the code, one to make the change and one to verify it. So it basically decides when a task needs a bigger workflow. So for serious coding tasks, it might first explore the code base, then create a plan, then make the changes, then run verification, and then potentially use sub agents to handle different parts of the work. You can actually tell it manually to use workflows, all you have to do is just type out the word workflow. So you can do create a workflow. And then if I type workflow here, it'll turn into that rainbow color, and then it'll say dynamic workflow requested for this turn right here. So you can turn that on manually if you choose. Ultra code is really good for those complex coding tasks, things like refactoring a complex feature debugging across multiple files, understanding a large code base or making changes where verification really matters. But the thing is this uses a lot of tokens. So if you're someone on the pro plan, you might run through your usage in like five minutes using this. So this is really for people on those max plans that have complex tasks that they need to get done, then you would use UltraCode." ### Post #2 by @ridark_eth > **Author:** Ridark ([@ridark_eth](https://x.com/ridark_eth)) > **Metrics:** 95 likes · 13 retweets · 39 comments · 8.4K views > **Posted:** 2026-06-05T10:55:04+00:00 > **Source Link:** [https://x.com/ridark_eth/status/2062850687441002767](https://x.com/ridark_eth/status/2062850687441002767) > **Video Content:** [caption-skipped: too old] > > "MICROSOFT JUST RELEASED A FREE TOOL THAT SLASHES CLAUDE TOKEN COSTS BY 70% LLMs: eating 3,000 tokens per PDF page just to parse broken tables. context windows burned before you ask the first question. one MCP server command. zero manual copy-pasting.
