This happened roughly a week ago. I've been doing some stuff to my mother's car to try to get it to pass inspection. Some of that involved trying to figure out what component failed that set the check engine light. I have one of those bluetooth OBDII scanners that pairs with my phone, about the size of a pack of cigarettes. I accidentally left it in the OBDII port after I was done. My mother noticed it the next time she drove her car and freaked out thinking it was a GPS tracker that someone installed in her car. Thankfully she calmed down once I told her what it was, but she was freaking out for a short while."
