More as a warning to other, just learned my lesson. I had set up Roth 401k contributions percentage so would land the year at exactly the $8k for the catchup for those over 50. All while maxing out the traditional 401K also. Well now my full withholding is switched to Roth because the system just counted the total and switched to Roth only after YTD total hit $24.5k. Therefore, I have over contributed to Roth and missed tax savings."
