I get the sense that the majority of people in this sub are software engineers, so I’m curious if anyone is making overemployment work in the marketing field. I worked my way up to director-level roles before leaving a pretty toxic company. I’m currently doing contract work but am considering applying for remote W-2 positions again soon. I’ve been thinking about targeting lower-level marketing roles, even if they’re below my experience level. A lot of the work is second nature to me at this point, so I feel like I could get it done in a fraction of the time it would take someone else. I’m also thinking lower-level roles might mean fewer meetings and less responsibility outside of the actual work."
