It was Andrea Dworkins work that made me understand mens womb envy as it relates to power. I know Andrea Dworkin is controversal and very much a man-hating woman but she has some very intelligent insights into the male mind. I urge to read some of her work. She is very articulate, brilliant and very very angry! Ha ha!
Anyway, back to why men hate abortion is because, it means that his mother once had the power to decide if he could exist or not. And his ego cannot fanthom or accept that a woman’s decision defines his fate. It is the ultimate power move! Imagine that, a woman can have the final decision if I exist or not! How dare she! He cannot have that! He cannot fanthom the fact that a woman has the ability to create, therefor the final decision if he exist or not. It’s the ultimate ego death for men and he just cannot grasp or even accept that. His anti abortion is a final expression of his initial womb envy! He is just too much in his “feelings” or ego to get the connection or even to admit it to himself. That he is afraid. He is afraid of our ability and power to create, and therefore our power to decide his fate. I mean the whole premise of religion is to make up for the fact that men can’t create life and feel inferior because of it. His anti-abortion is just another way for a man to try to take back a sense of power and control and to make up for his inferiority complex. Please share your thoughts and if you have read Andrea Dworkin?"
