It’s kind of this attitude in society that I’ve been noticing where women in many countries now are independent members of society that have jobs and bank accounts and responsibilities that were once reserved for men, but the societies have not actually caught up in terms of feminism, leaving the women with all the responsibility and none of the benefit. Let me explain. Women now have jobs and are expected to be much more financially independent. This is undoubtedly a good thing. Women having jobs and their own money is something I would always encourage strongly. Therefore, splitting the bill (at least in G*rmany where I’m from) is very normal and expected, and women usually would go halves on bills/rent at home. I like this. This is good."
