I've been trading for several years, but consistently for the past year. I largely scalp indicies and gold which is my primary instrument. I make decent profit 4 days a week then on one day the price spikes $30 - 80 and destroys all my hard work. The spike is always against the direction of price. Im with fxcm and the 1 click feature where it auto adds a sl & tp doesnt work on the browser or phone, so i either need to add them before i enter, which takes time and every second counts in the scalp or add it once i enter, which obviously keeps costing me big time (Im sure many will say just add it pre trade)."
