Not sure if I am in trouble yet. This all just happened. I wont go into the boring office details but I work in a small office of 8. There is a project manager, lets call her Prickly. Prickly is never in a good mood, always stormy, bitchy, yells at staff when we get last minute additions to the project. These last min additions are making us more money, therefore, good, right? Not for her because it makes more work for her. So I live in a constant state of anxiety, because I never know when I'm going to get yelled at, or once, she threatened to make me stay late, if she had to. There was a client that sent wrong sized material and she wrote me saying what the specs are supposed to be and asked me to get the client to change it. Fine. No big deal. But I come back from lunch and there's two LARGE print posters on my wall at my desk with spec sizes. I already have this information. I found this move, passive aggressive and insulting. Like I'm incapable of telling clients the proper sizes. This might seem odd, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I started typing an email to her, firstly to prove to her that I indeed sent the proper specs and the client ignored my information. then I went on to say that "You posting LARGE print copies on my wall of material I already have is passive aggressive and insulting. Being yelled at and worrying about how you will react when I bring in sales creates a toxic work environment. I should be able to do my job without daily anxiety about what I might get yelled at for. I'm 100% sure that you are aware of your behaviour, and it is intentional. You are the project manager, and you treat your staff like this? The way you treat sales, is making me afraid to make sales. Is that your goal, as project manager?"
