It proved to be the right choice because 2 people from the old J1 were interviewed by HR 😭. Thankfully I have a great relationship with those people outside of work so I spilled the beans and they kept my secret. It’s been 6 months so I know I’m in the clear. Everything is still frozen. Now the real question, should I even attempt looking for a new J2? The current in office requirement is a firm Tuesday and Thursday, at least 6 - 7 hours and there is basically no real privacy. Also Friday has a standing meeting towards the end of the day that is impossible to skip but I’d be remote."
