I've been thinking a lot about the difference between men who identify as progressive and men who actually live those values. Especially after the last few weeks, which have been absolutely infuriating as a woman. A few weeks ago, some friends and I were talking about how they always ask, “Who did you vote for?” on dates. An automatic filter. And I understand why. Political alignment matters to me too. But honestly, I don't think that's the big question anymore. That's screening for what someone says they believe. I want to know what they do with those beliefs."
