I'm in the Army as a 15P (Aviation Operations) and my end of service date is July 5, 2027. My goal is to get the FAA Aircraft dispatching cert and get into a regional airline then eventually to a major airline. Here's my situation: I can finish the dispatcher course and the written exam before I get out, but I can't sit the practical until I turn 23 in December, and in order to actually get the cert you have to be 23. So basically from July to December im not to sure on what im going to do. My biggest concern is not finding a decent job in time, since my base pay from the Army ends at ETS (July) and I'd rather not dip into the savings I'm building now. During this time i also will be doing school. Also for my job in the army the direct civilian correlation is an aircraft dispatcher. If were to work a job i have no idea of what i'll do."
